Tata Motors will send four of its CNG-electric hybrid low-floor Starbuses to the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) for public use during the upcoming Commonwealth Games. The automaker claims that this is the first time hybrid buses of any sort will be used for public transportation in India. With Bluelines off central Delhi roads from Sunday, driving through the heart of the city was a breeze. As motorists rejoiced not having "killer" Bluelines for company, bus commuters didn't seem to miss them either as an added number of DTC buses were deployed on the routes as replacements. The rickety fleet will be replaced with an equal number of low floor DTC buses which are being put on the affected routes.
