After missing frequent deadlines, senior officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) no longer wish to give exact dates for completion of infrastructure projects. While top level officials and engineers had earlier claimed that one carriageway of the already-delayed Ring Road bypass would open on August 15, which did not happen. City roads still dug up, MCD gets the jitters

With 49 days left for the Commonwealth Games, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has claimed that it is yet to begin upgrading of 30 major roads for the Games. According to the civic agency, these roads still have to be handed over by other agencies, which are currently carrying out digging activity. Commonwealth Games: Special Delhi-Agra Shatabdi to run from Oct 3

Coinciding with the Commonwealth Games, Northern Railway will be running a special Shatabdi train between Delhi and Agra  from October 3. The train will cater to tourists, athletes and officials who plan to visit the Taj Mahal during the games. The railways said the special train that will run at a speed of 140 km/hr, will function non-stop. "The train will leave Delhi in the morning and will reach Agra in 75 minutes.
